TA DA!
Well I'm just 6 months over due on a new post! It's me Melanie and I just wanted to tell a funny story of my silly son Max. First of all anyone who knows him knows how incredibly smart little Max is. I am amazed everyday with how he learns! Besides how smart he is he is also our little clown(his dads son to the T!) He is always making us laugh. Today at church we were sitting behind a family of kids so I was letting him crawl under the bench to go play, he was going back and forth over and over until he got away! Little stinker just kept right on going!! We were on the side row and he was next to the wall and crawled all the way to the front and once he stood up he said "TA DA" arms waving in triumph and all! And to make things worse Cody would not stop laughing! Oh boy, my boys! It was funny moment, I'll never forget! I love my family so much. I really need to post more cause seriously Max does something everyday that just kills me! He's amazing and I can't wait for his sister to arrive! We just put up our Christmas tree so here is some pics of that. I'm so excited this year now that Max is older and will be excited for Christmas this year. He loves CHOO CHOO's so we now watch the polar express EVERYDAY! Okay bye
for now!

Its been a while
This is Cody. I know it has been a long time since we have posted and I am sorry. I don't know if anyone even reads blogs anymore. I know Mel checks periodically but I kinda wonder if the blog fad is drying up. Either way I will try and start posting agian so you all know whats going on in our lives. It was halloween a few days ago and we dressed max up like an oompa loompa. I think it turned out pretty good. but you all can be the judge of that. I don't want to overload people with too much info at once so i will just say that we are doing really good. Mel has got another bun in the oven, a little girl. We are way excited and can't wait till april for her to come. We don't really have anything else really going on though. We want to move out of our house because its getting old. We want to move up north near Logan maybe, but I don't think it will happen for a while. I am still in the jail and i now work at wonder bread again for some extra money to pay the bills. anyway thats really all that is going on . I will try to post some more in depth things later this week. Here are some pictures of max on halloween. He loved trick or treating. It took him a few house to figure it out but after he got the hang of it, I could barely keep up with him with his candy bag.

UPDATE
Well I gues I better stop and blog for a minute, since my sweet wife never does. I will give you a little update on all that has been happening with us. Mel had her birthday on the 25th, it was really fun. We went to the day spa and got a steam bath thing and a hot rock massage. It was suhweeet. She took the big 24 in great stride. Max has been good. We had a rough week about two weeks ago. On sunday we took my little brother kyle to be sent off to the marines. While we were waiting for the recruiter to show up, my little three year old niece ran out into the parking lot and was hit by a car. Thankfully she is ok and walked out of the emergency room with a couple of bandaids and a new pair of shorts (they cut the leg on her new jeans, she was pretty upset) So after that we went up to Hunstville on tuesday for my uncle Clairs funeral. After the funeral, we were at my mom and dads house and Max was having a fever so I left to go get a thermometer and on my way back I got a phone call from my brother in law Nate telling me that Max was having a seizure. So I get home and there are paramedics surrounding Max on the front lawn with oxygen and everything. We ended up taking an ambulance ride to the ER and spending most of the night there. Let me just tell you how blessed we are though. Nothing was seriously wrong. The doctors said that everything was ok and that he just had what they call a febril seizure. Its just from a fever that spike really high, really fast and your body has to reset itself to stop the fever. Max is fine, He was already a little crazy so I don't think it could have done much damage. Thats was our recent excitement. these pictures have nothing to do with any of that but I thought I would try to get some up for people to see. Here he is, the story of our lives
Max loves to take baths in the sink. Not really baths but I don't know what to do with him after I feed him so I just stick him in there to play. Note to self don't use a brillo pad on a baby
Mel and Max blowing out the candle. We didn't have any candles so I just found the big 1 from Max's birthday and taped a 24 to it.
Here is Mel's birthday cake. She wanted better than sex cake so I went ahead and made it. I made it wrong just in case it was.
This is from way back on Easter. We went up to Logan to roll eggs down a hill. Max loved it. He would throw an egg an then start clapping.
This picture is awesome. It looks like Max is stuck hanging in the tree but he is just flying. He loves this too.
We were getting some serious air that day. We are going to go for a new world record. I wonder if they have baby throwing contests?

A little clarification
I have been reading some of the comments that have been left and I have a feeling that there might be a few rumors starting to brew. Let me start off by saying, We weren't going to the circle of life clinic. It was the womens center downstairs. Mel had a mole she needed looked at, don't worry "it's not a tumah." And secondly, if Mel was pregnant, I would like to know who got her pregnant because it wasn't me. Mel had a dream a little while ago that she had twin girls, ever since she told me that, I have been working late or going to bed early. Can't risk it. anyway, I hope I was able to clear things up a little for everyone. While we are on the topic, everyone has been asking me when we are going to have another one. I decided that no matter what you do, people will always bug you about something. You get home from your mission and before you can adjust to the new time zone you got people lining you up with friends and asking you when you are going to get married. So you get sick of people asking you, so you decide to tie the knot. You would think that people would stop bugging you because you did what they wanted right? wrong. Now it's all about when you are going to have your first kid. You get one of those and you think you are scott free, but oh no, now it's when are you going have your next one. After this I don't really knows whats going to happen but I'm sure people will keep bugging me about something.

This boy was made for walking
A few months ago, Max decided it was time to get off his lazy butt and start walking around. Ever since then, our lives have been a living hell! he wakes up with his legs moving and they don't stop until he talks himself to sleep. It is really fun to watch and he gets moving pretty quick. He has his little run that he does when he gets really excited. That's where this story begins. We had to go up the the women's clinic because Mel had a doctors appointment, she asked if me and Max wanted to go and we looked at each other and said, "sure." So we got ready and headed up there. Max was so excited to hit the open road (or parking lot in our case) and he took off as soon as his feet touched the ground. Mel was walking ahead of him and I was behind. He was on a full sprint to catch up to Mel but he decided to look back at me to see if I was still coming. He doesn't really have much coordination so as soon as he looked back he started to go down. I tried to run up and catch him but it was too late. He fell down and unfortunately his face broke his fall. Poor little guy scraped his upper lip and skinned his nose. His lip was bleeding pretty good and he was screaming a pretty loud tune. So we went in and got him cleaned up. His lip was pretty swollen and he is in recovery. A day or two later I decided I would blog this. I got the camera out and put max up on the bed and took a few pictures. I turned around to put the memory card in the computer, then I turned back around to get Max. In that short amount of time, he had crawled to the side of the bed and tried to stand up. He was not successful. He took a nose dive off the side of the bed and crashed to the floor. I thought about calling DCFS to come and get me for child abuse. This poor little guy had a rough couple of days. He is still a happy boy though. I don't think anything could keep this kid down, he just is so happy and has such a fun time. We love him.Mel put Max's pants on his head and let him run around the house. We think he kinda looks like Sloth from the Goonies.
Max loves to walk aacross the street to see the neighbors dog in the window
Max just running along
Here he is with his sweet hat. He didn't like to wear hats at first but he figured out quick that when the hat goes on, he goes outside
Here he is with his battle wounds, it doesn't look too bad here but it was really sad, especially for his first fall.
